The Global Mentoring Network for Aspiring Leaders
One to one mentoring
The Network is for colleagues thought capable of becoming Heads within the next 5-7 years. Our mentors are all current or former senior executives with a non education background, our stance being that we are mentoring leadership not headship.
A Community project
Where colleagues are paired with an overseas partner, and asked to complete a project which benefits either their local communities or a subject community.
Insights Discovery Profiling and Feedback
This is a questionnaire based on the work of Carl Jung which highlights an individual’s predispositions, or preferred behaviours. Participants receive a personalised 20 page report which also includes graphical descriptions of their conscious and less conscious preferences.
Global Student Mentoring Network
Mentoring
The Network is for students who will occupy leadership positions at school in the next 12 months. Mentees will work with a recent graduate from their school in small group. They will also participate in webinars on a range of topics including leadership development, social justice and resilience.
A Community project
Students will work in groups and collaborate with students overseas on the planning and creation of a social impact project.

US Canadian and Australian Schools have joined the programme
One to one mentoring
In the current cohort, schools from the US, Canada and Australasia have joined the scheme. We have expanded our panel of mentors to include colleagues from the US and Australia. The majority of mentoring will take place virtually, using Zoom or similar technology.

Conference in Boston
We are going to mark the culmination of the programme with a conference in June 2022. The NCGS has a Global Forum every three years and next year’s event is due to be held in Boston. Members of the new cohort will be invited to attend that event and also a dedicated conference of their own prior to the Forum. If budget and/or the pandemic do not enable travel, there will be a virtual option.
